These words echoed in 2008 in our Dubai office. At that time, ANIB‘s total staff strength, was only 16. And out of them, 4 were women.
In walks our MD, Mr. Rajagopal one day, and calls up Mr. Daniel Jason, our now Senior VP, Brand & Media, and says, “Jason, shall we form a cricket team?” “We can attempt to foster a greater degree of team spirit whilst playing some fun matches over the weekend, what do you say?”
The answer was a yes and that was the spark that ignited cricketing fever into everyone in the organization!
Mr. Jason set about forming an eleven, out of twelve able-bodied men! Two of them were footballers, and another, had never played cricket in his lifetime! The rest, had played cricket at some point of time in their careers. This was how our in-house corporate cricket team, the “ANIB Bulls”, was initially formed.
What began as a fun, team building activity, has today, taken ANIB to one of the topmost spots in sports branding and sponsorship, both locally and internationally!
